Your data, your choice
Everything you make with Kindly Tools stays in your browser. You don’t need an account, and we don’t need anything from you.
Our privacy promise
-
You never need an account. Almost everything works without one.
-
Your work stays in your browser unless you choose to sync it.
-
We don’t track you, sell anything about you, or show anyone else’s ads.
-
With end-to-end sync, we store only locked copies and never have the key.
-
You can take everything with you in one file, and delete it all in one click.
Three levels, your choice
You choose how much of your work, if anything, leaves this browser. Every tool works at the first level today; the other two are coming.
- The usual way
This browser only
Your things are kept by this browser, on this device. We never see them.
The catch: browsers sometimes clear what sites keep. Clearing your browsing data, a private window, a full disk, or Safari’s rule of removing site data after seven days without a visit can all lose your work.
To keep it safe: press Back up now and then, and keep the file somewhere you trust. To move to another computer, open any Kindly tool there and choose Restore. On Safari, adding a tool to your Home Screen also keeps it.

Sync, kept by us
Sign in, and we keep a copy so your things follow you to every device. We can technically read this copy. We don’t look at it, we never sell or share it, and it’s encrypted on our servers. If you lose your devices, you just sign in again.
- Coming soon
Sync, end-to-end encrypted
The same, except your things are locked in your browser before they leave it, and only you hold the key. We can’t read them. You’ll print a recovery key. If you lose that key and your passkey and passphrase, we can’t get your synced things back. Whatever is still in your browsers is safe.
What we can see
The short version, level by level.
This browser only
Nothing. We never receive it.
Sync, kept by us
The size of your things, when they changed and which tool they belong to — and, technically, their contents.
Sync, end-to-end encrypted
The size, the times and the tool. Never the contents.
One honest limit
End-to-end encryption on a website trusts the code the website sends you each time. We keep that code small, open to inspection and free of anyone else’s scripts.
Links you share keep your things off our servers
When a tool puts something in a link — a crossword to solve, a design to open — it goes after the #. Browsers never send that part to any server, ours included, so the link carries your work straight from you to the person you send it to.
Our short links are the one exception: they keep the whole address so they can redirect, and the tool says so before you make one.
Leaving
Download everything as one file at any time. Deleting your account deletes your synced copy straight away. It takes one click.
